Day 36: Bugs

Today I went to Silverwood for Physics Day! It was very fun. Perfect day for roller-coaster joy.

Would you like to know my observation of the day?
Bad things about blogs: I will never know your response before I (maybe) tell you against your will.
Bugs are rolemodels.
Yes.
Seriously.
Like... i'm serious.

After getting home from Silverwood today, I went outside to enjoy the weather and read The Great Gatsby in my front yard. It was warm, the birds were chirping, and the sun and the sky perfectly complimented each other. As I laid there, however, one thing did not make me feel good. Bugs. As I looked down over, to what I realized was my super oddly contorted body, I saw little black bugs crawling over the skin exposed between my shin and my ankle. Being the girl that I am, I am created to HATE THOSE BUGS. So, accordingly, I flicked the little suckers off, and went back to my book. Just a few moments later, I felt the little guys all up on my ankle again. COYSB! (Come On You Stupid Bugs) So again, flick. Not but 5.2 seconds later I feel them again. Swipe. And again.... pitched camp on my skin. But this time, when I leaned in to do "the flick" I started actually looking at the bugs. I noticed that they all seemed so determined to accomplish a mission I couldn't possibly understand. I mean, why would they climb right back on after being pushed off at least 4 times? Well, to my knowledge, they probably had no worth-while mission at all. The reason behind all of that probably wouldn't have benefited their lives in any regards. But they did it. 4 or 5 times.  Why am I not like that? Why aren't we all like that?

Well ya know what little bugs, you have taught me an important lesson today. Even when my problems seem foreign and giant, I am going to approach them with all 4 legs (Oh wait...) and climb on. And yes, I might get aggressively shoved off sometimes, but if I want it, I will work for it. Except maybe unlike you, i'll have a purpose.
