"Blood phobia (also, AE: Hemophobia, BE: Haemophobia) is the extreme and irrational fear of blood. Acute cases of this fear can cause physical reactions that are uncommon in most other fears, specifically vasovagal syncope (fainting)."
Let me explain my blood phobia to you.
Let me explain my blood phobia to you.
Blood is the one thing that can just shut my body down on command. I see it, hear about it, or think about it and ................. Zzzzz.
Most times, unless the situation is controlled, I am out cold.
However, there are always the circumstances that I start getting woozy and I am able to sit down, throw my head between my knees, and stay conscious.
Here is the process of passing out:
1) My head starts to feel lighter, and like I am unable to hold it up.
2) My vision does a thing that I call a "white out". Like a black out, but everything gets white and fuzzy.
3) My hearing starts to leave. Starting with a hissing, and then it being completely gone.
4) I wake up somewhere strange. Such as a bathroom floor, a bedroom floor, or a couch.
5) I recover. Using my memory to the best of its ability.
There are lots of people who do not understand the types of things I pass out from. Here are some:
-My mom telling me a story about birth.
-Stubbing my toe at my cousins house.
-Watching Grey's Anatomy. (mostly just white outs and vision loss)
-Jeremiah's bloody noses. (One time he sneezed blood on me.)
-Any type of blood while I am in hot weather.
The reason for this blog today, is I am watching Grey's Anatomy, and oooooooooh boooooooooy. White Outs like there's no tomorrow.
Fun fact about me!
I hope you now feel that you better understand my weird phobia.
This makes me reaaaaally want to show you some of my blood. Just to see. Yeah, I am that type of person.
